Mainamoti is a famous Buddhist archaeological site. It is called the seat of lost dynasties. About 8 km to the west of Comilla town lies a range of low hills knows as the Mainamoti-Lalmairidge. Mainamoti is known to be at heart for the spread of the Buddhist dynasty and its culture. Ages ago this site was used to enkindle disciples with the light of the knowledge of Humanities, Science & Arts. Our medical college was established to accomplish a similar mission to empower the youths through spreading the light of Knowledge and hence named after the historical site MAINAMOTI. Our aim to provide quality education and take forward our mission to embrace humanity.
Bangladesh is a developing country burdened with a huge human cargo, is uniquely placed to harness her human resource potential to the benefit of its people through the effective restructuring of the existing health care delivery system with major shift towards primary health care approach.
Mainamoti Medical College is a Private Medical College. Establishment of such an institute will assist mobilization of solving the national problem through development for solving the national problem through basic & applied research and by encouraging self - reliance in population.
This program will give a good profile of talents of both male & female student in technical field by proving their better performance in medical education in aa separate environment for the graduates who can give more time in this field.
The Aim of this Medical College & Hospital is to teach selected candidates for five academic years according to the syllabus laid down by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council ( BM&DC ) for MBBS degree to be a conferred by Chittagong Medical University, Bangladesh and then impart training of closely supervised internship for one year to create high-quality career as a doctor for the nation.
1. To promote and provide studies in medical science leading to recognized graduate and post graduate degree.
2. To conduct research work on the diseade prevalent in the country.
3. To conduct research on medical education with the aim of raising the student of medical education in the country.
Guideline for admission of local students usually given by the Ministry of Health each year. Announcement for admission appears in the National Daily News Papers usually in October (Approx.), seeking application from the interested students.
Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 9.00 combinedly in SSC and HSC (separately minimum 3.5 in each) Examination or equivalent and have GPA=3.50 in Biology. Students with a break of study of more than one year are not eligible to apply.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR LOCAL STUDENTS
Announcement for admission usually published in the daily newspaper in October each year after admission in Govt. Medical Colleges. Eligible interested candidates are to collect and submit duly filled in application forms within the notified date along with other necessary documents and collect admit card for the admission test.
Admission Test: The admission test is arranged by DGHS under the ministry of health. Candidates are selected for admission based on merit and notified in the national daily newspapers. The last date of admission is usually given for the selected candidates after which candidates from the waiting list are called if seats remain vacant.
Medical checkup: A Medical checkup is done for each selected candidates before admission. Students having gross physical, mental or refractory disorders may not be admitted as per the decision of the medical board.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS
Government of Bangladesh sets the rules and procedures of admission of foreign students to all public and private medical colleges within its territory. Following are the steps that you need to take if you want to get admitted to Mainamoti Medical College (MMC).
All selected candidates must apply through Embassy of Bangladesh for obtaining equivalence certificate for confirmation of admission.
