Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College is a private medical school in Bangladesh, established in 1998. It is located in Savar Upazila, in the Dhaka District of the Dhaka Division. It is affiliated with Dhaka University.
It admits 50 students every year to a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The courses are approved by The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education. The degree is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.
The college has five academic hospitals: Savar, Dhanmondi, Gazipur, Pabna at Kashinathpur, and Gaibandha. The college has an additional 17 primary health centers.

The objective of the Gono Bishwabidyalay is to foster the national and global development process through the creation of a centre of excellence in higher education that is responsive to society's needs particularly social development and human welfare as well as to produce highly skilled manpower, visionary leaders and enlightened citizen by imparting high quality higher education and training so that the individuals can personal potentials.
In the lap of nature free from the din and bustle of city life, Bangladesh Government approved GB is situated in the Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) complex savar. It is now functioning in KG's building and its own building is under construction in a campus on 10 acres of land donated by GK trust. It is only one hour's drive from Dhaka, capital city of Bangladesh and well connected with its surrounding areas.
Gono Bishwabidyalay offers special subjects for studying with a focus on certain aspects of the people of Bangladesh, Gender issues, Ethics Equity and Environmental science in order to equip them with the knowledge and skill necessary for becoming a complete human being both academically and psychologically. The excellent broad outlook for education makes them skilled and competent for development.
Guideline for admission of local students usually given by the Ministry of Health each year. Announcement for admission appears in the National Daily News Papers usually in October (Approx.), seeking application from the interested students.
Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 9.00 combinedly in SSC and HSC (separately minimum 3.5 in each) Examination or equivalent and have GPA=3.50 in Biology. Students with a break of study of more than one year are not eligible to apply.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR LOCAL STUDENTS
Announcement for admission usually published in the daily newspaper in October each year after admission in Govt. Medical Colleges. Eligible interested candidates are to collect and submit duly filled in application forms within the notified date along with other necessary documents and collect admit card for the admission test.
Admission Test: The admission test is arranged by DGHS under the ministry of health. Candidates are selected for admission based on merit and notified in the national daily newspapers. The last date of admission is usually given for the selected candidates after which candidates from the waiting list are called if seats remain vacant.
Medical checkup: A Medical checkup is done for each selected candidates before admission. Students having gross physical, mental or refractory disorders may not be admitted as per the decision of the medical board.

Government of Bangladesh sets the rules and procedures of admission of foreign students to all public and private medical colleges within its territory. Following are the steps that you need to take if you want to get admitted to Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College (GSVMC).
All selected candidates must apply through Embassy of Bangladesh for obtaining equivalence certificate for confirmation of admission.
