Criteria for Admission of Foreign Students in the MBBS and BDS Courses

  • To be eligible to apply for Admission & Scholarship Must have passed qualifying examinations (+2/I.Sc./HSC/’A’ level) or equivalent examination.
  • Minimum aggregate GPA for Govt. Medical College is 8.00
  • Minimum aggregate GPA for Private Medical College is 7.00
  • Minimum GP in Biology: 3.5 (60% aggregate)
  • Minimum Academic Gap (not more than 2 year)
  • Equivalence Of Foreign Degree : % Of Marks Grade Points

For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in SLC/SSC/ ‘O’ level or equivalent examination: Only top 5 ( Five ) Subjects are considered (score basis), Therefore Calculation of GPA ‘O’ level = (Sum total of the Grade Points in top Five subjects÷5)
For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in +2/I.Sc./HSC/ ‘A’ level or equivalent examination: Only 3 (three) subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology are considered, Therefore Calculation of GPA in ‘A’ – level = (Sum total of the Grade Points in 3 subjects ÷ 3)

If there is 0.5 in any subject, it will be considered as next round figure. eg. 39.5 = 40, 49.5 = 50, 59.5 = 60, 69.5 = 70, 79.5 = 80.
For Scholarship, Bangladesh Embassy, publishes Notice every year. Students must download a copy of the Application Form, fill it and submit it along with a copy of passport, attested mark sheet (SLC & +2), recent PP sized photographs (10 copies) and application fee (USD 60$ in Bank Draft) to the Bangladesh Embassy, within the stipulated date.

All certificates must be duly attested by the concerned authorities: Concerned Education Board, Ministry of Education (MOE) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

Students with 10 GPA are encouraged to apply for Scholarship and students with below 10 GPA are advised for self-funding.

How to choose a Medical/Dental College?
