Jiangsu University, approved by the Ministry of Education in August 2001, was a key comprehensive university formed by the merger of the former Jiangsu University of Technology, Zhenjiang Medical College, and Zhenjiang Teachers College. Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) was established as an independent school in 1960. School history can be traced back.
